Legolas the elf and Gimli the dwarf

My roommate's name is Jocelyn. Joc has long flowing blond hair and amazing features. The girl is a knock-out. she is also extremely intelligent and Extremely absent minded/ADD/a space cadet. Anyway, we have this friend, Matthew, who about three weeks ago decided to start calling her Legolas because she's also obsessed with Lord of the Rings and he thought the name fit her well. The funny thing about this is that her friends back home used to call her Legolas as well. Okay, so the other day the three of us were standing around and she hugged me. Now, my height is frequently brought up by these two because they are on the taller side; Joc a bit over 5'6 and Matthew is 6 foot. Hence, when "Legolas" and I hugged Matthew claimed I was a dwarf causing "Legolas" to cry, "GIMLI!!!". Legolas and I evaluated the finer points of this discovery. For one, we were not the best of friends when we first became roommates but now we're bestest friends and are hilarious when we're together. As aforementioned, "Legolas" is tall, thin and has long blond hair...this means she looks like an elf :) I'm on the shorter side and my last name is Dorff which is basically the same thing as dwarf; so, despite my lack of facial hair I am a dwarf. My roommate and I = Legolas and Gimli

My Disney-ness!

Okay, so this blog took some thought. I'm a compilation of many Disney characters such as Dori (Finding Nemo), Miko (Pocahontas), all of the Seven Dwarfs, and the fairies from Sleeping Beauty to name a few. But the one position that is me, my roommates suggested this one, is that of a lost boy from Peter Pan. Some of the reasons behind this are:
-I value my independence highly
-I recognize good leadership and will follow it if it enhances and enables my independence
-I Love to play games, both board and sport
-I love being outside
-I'm not a pretty girl; I like stereotypical "guy things" more than "girly things"
-I love spontaneity and adventures of any kind
-I love fighting pirates :)

Sickness

Being sick is simply the worst thing in the world. I hate that feeling of absolute hunger; the feeling of your stomach noticeably retracting and shrinking into nothingness. It's sudden too. It's not a gradual, you barely notice, event. It's pure, startling starvation. You can't eat. If you eat, it'll only cause you more hurt and possibly prevent you from ever eating that thing you ate again because it came back up and wasn't the same. Not eating is not fun. Food is the best in the world, when you can eat it.

Sugar

So, i'm not a very sugary food eating person. Candy is enjoyable every once in a while, but it's not my favorite, lots of times i'd rather have pasta or bread or something like that. It's the same thing with ice cream; it's good but not really cravable. Unless you eat it with sprinkles....I love ice cream with my sprinkles. It's so delicious to have that crunch with the creamy softness but it's not the same as crunchy nuts, it's better. So that and coconut are the only two sugary craving I get.

Appetite is an interesting thing. Under certain circumstances, you simply cannot eat or aren't hungry. For instance, you're really stressed out, your stomach twists into knots and you might munch to relieve stress but you're genuinely not hungry. Or when you're nervous the same thing happens. Or when you're really excited about something, you're brain goes in every which direction and you're not hungry; all you can do is think and thinking about food is not enticing. It's also weird how there's mindless eating, like when you're watching t.v. or reading or doing homework. It's interesting that it's not consistent.

fast-food

I remember being a little kid and one of my best friends' older brothers coming home from work at a pizza place. Ingrained in brain is that smell of pizza, grease, and B.O. Disgusting. I've never worked at a food place. I would be fine working as a waitress or a hostess, but the simple thought of working at a fast food place makes me want to run in the opposite direction as fast as I can and then smell some roses to make that greasy smell dissipate. Part of this might be because I greatly dislike fast food. but still, wouldn't be able to handle it.

Wanna be Mexican food

Okay, so previously in class we've talked about Cafe Rio. I would just like to state how absolutely fabulous I think their food is. It is better than Costa Vida (their sauce isn't as good) and better than Bajio's simply because it tastes better. I always get the same thing, a chicken salad. I love it.
